Please contact us to verify that we can certify for your issuing agency.

All of our CCW Initial and Renewal classes are SB2 compliant.

All of our CCW classes are led by instructors who are certified by the California Department of Justice, Bureau of Firearms, Carry Concealed Weapon Program, as DOJ CCW Instructors.

MANDATORY EQUIPMENT

(Student must bring all items listed to class on Day One for our mandatory Gear Check)

• Valid California DMV issued driver's license or ID.

• Handgun(s) - Revolver or semiautomatic (full-size or compact, no tiny pocket pistols please).  The State of California requires that the guns you list on your permit be registered to you with the State. Depending on the issuing agency, there may be restrictions on gun type, modifications, and/or optics.  Please review the issuing agencies requirements as shown on their website.

• If you are listing more than one gun on your permit, please select one of the guns to be your main training gun for the class.  Please have at least three magazines for this main training gun.  Your secondary and tertiary handguns (if any) can have two magazines.

• Twin magazine belt carrier and three magazines (minimum) for your main training gun (or one speed-loaders if using a revolver).

Strong side outside-the-waistband KYDEX belt holster (no cordura nylon or leather) for each gun you wish to qualify with.  You must qualify with all guns you are listing on your permit.  We do not allow Blackhawk Serpa holsters or other brands of similar design that require the trigger finger to manipulate a button to release the gun.

• Ammunition - 300 rounds for your main training gun plus an additional 50 rounds for each additional gun you want on your permit.  Note:  Contra Costa applicants need only bring one training gun and no additional guns to class.

• Wrap-around eye protection and electronic hearing protection.

Front opening jacket or vest, medium weight, that covers the holstered handgun.

• Baseball cap or visor.

• Sack lunch, hydration and snacks to support your needs for each day.

• Closed-toe sport shoes or tactical boots.

• Notepad and pen (black ink)

• Folding chair for Day Two of 16 hr. class

Students are required to bring the above listed equipment to the first day of class for our mandatory gear check.  You must also bring all guns you want on your permit to class on the first day of class. Please do not bring any ammunition into the classroom.   Leave ammo secured in your vehicle until you are directed to retrieve it.

Guns must be unloaded and cased when entering the training facility.  No holstered handguns please.  We only allow holster use on the firing range under the supervision of our instructor staff during the live-fire portion of the class.

Please note:  We train rain or shine, so dress appropriately for weather.  Layers work best, and shirts should tuck into your pants and not obstruct the holster.

Special Note for Contra Costa Sheriff's Office Applicants:  You only need to bring one training gun with the OWB belt holster and three magazines.  You will practice the Contra Costa qualification at the end of the class.  However, you will have to qualify at the Contra Costa Sheriff's Office with all guns you are listing on the permit.

Determined at checkout.
